Course Title: Communication and Engagement with Leadership and Upper Management

Course Type: Webinars

Objective: This webinar compares and contrasts basic differences to consider when communicating SMS priorities between workers and leadership. It provides methods to help encourage leaders to become more active, engaged, and supportive of your SMS. The webinar gives guidance on the optimum times to approach leadership for support with safety and health issues. In addition, the webinar offers tips on communicating effectively with leaders and preparing meaningful safety and health reports.

Pre-Requisites: This introductory-level webinar is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about effectively communicating and engaging with leadership and senior management to support safety management systems and safety and health initiatives. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include: safety and occupational health (SOH) professionals; management, supervisors, and workers with SOH collateral duties; SOH committee members: union representatives; and others interested in improving communication skills with leaders and managers.
