Course Title: Best Practices: Safety Leadership at Every Level

Course Type: Webinars

Objective: This webinar focuses on the promotion of safety leadership for all levels of the workforce to improve your safety and occupational health management system (SOHMS). The webinar defines safety culture and discusses how safety leadership influences organizational attitudes and perceptions towards safety and health (S&H). In addition, the webinar provides several tools and resources you may utilize to measure your safety culture to identify improvement areas. The webinar concludes with a discussion of work activities and best practices requiring worker buy-in, involvement, and leadership to make everyone a safety leader at your organization.

Pre-Requisites: This introductory-level webinar is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about safety leadership at every level. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include executive leadership, managers & supervisors, non-supervisory employees, and S&H professionals.

Employed by Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) for over 10 years, Mr. Bender holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Safety Sciences as well as a graduate degree in Business Administration. He also has experience in industrial hygiene and project management for CTC clients.

Brandon Hody, M.S., CSP, DoD SMCX Senior Safety and Occupational Health Professional

Mr. Hody has worked on the SMCX program for over 9 years, providing guidance for SMS implementation and sustainment to a variety of DoD Services and Agencies.

Brad Renwick, CSP, DoD SMCX Safety & Occupational Health Professional

Mr. Renwick has worked on the SMCX program for the past 7 years. Previously, he worked on a contract supporting the Army performing industrial hygiene surveys and has experience with reviewing fall protection programs.
