Course Title: Office Safety 101: Identifying Administrative Hazards

Course Type: Webinars

Objective: This webinar focuses on office safety and discusses the need to include office areas in safety self-inspections. It provides an overview of the self-inspection process you can implement at your own organization. The webinar also reviews training recommendations and documentation considerations to apply in your process. Finally, the webinar provides descriptions of common office hazards.

Pre-Requisites: This introductory presentation is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about the safety self-inspection process and common hazards in an office work environment. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include: safety and health (S&H) staff, safety management system (SMS) point of contact, and supervisors and others tasked with completing self-inspections (e.g., Collateral Duty Safety Officers (CDSOs)/Additional Duty Safety Officers (ADSOs)).

Ms. Gormish has been with the SMCX since 2012, supporting all DoD Services and Agencies. She also has experience conducting environmental, energy, and resource management projects for CTC clients.

Mr. Renwick has worked for the SMCX for the past 6 years. Previously, he worked on a contract supporting the Army performing industrial hygiene surveys.

Lori Schroth, D.B.A., M.S., CSP, CIT

DoD SMCX Senior Safety & Environmental Professional

Lori has worked with the SMCX for more than 10 years, primarily working with the Air Force and providing guidance regarding S&H compliance and SMS implementation and sustainment. She also has safety experience in the manufacturing industry, is an active volunteer with the ASSP, and has had several technical articles published. As a member of the Concurrent Technologies Corporation EH&S Committee, Lori performs office inspections on a periodic basis and reviews, tracks, and trends inspection findings.
