Course Title: Five Solutions to Reduce Fall Hazard Risks

Course Type: Webinars

Objective: This webinar focuses on strategies you can employ at your organization to eliminate or reduce fall hazards. This webinar discusses prevention through design (PtD) concepts, fall hazard risk assessments, the hierarchy of fall protection, and certified active fall protection systems. In addition, the webinar provides information on fall protection training requirements and improvements.

Pre-Requisites: This intermediate-level webinar is beneficial to personnel wanting to learn more about eliminating or preventing fall hazards. Attendees should have a fundamental understanding of fall prevention and protection regulations prior to this webinar. Personnel gaining the most benefit from this presentation may include: Building owners or facilities management; Safety and health (S&H) staff and other personnel involved in identifying, assessing, and controlling fall hazards, to include control selection, design, and implementation; personnel involved in pre-planning and analysis of processes or significant changes in which falls could occur; managers and supervisors overseeing activities with fall hazards; and S&H trainers creating and delivering fall protection training.

Mr. Hody has worked with the SMCX for almost 10 years, support mulitple DoD Services and Agencies. He helped several sites assess their fall hazard risks and compliance to identify issues and develop solutions to address potential fall hazards.

Mr. Renwick has worked for the SMCX for the past 6 years. Previously, he supported an Army contract performing industrial hygiene surveys and has experience reviewing fall protection programs.
